Can I make a booking?

We do not take reservations. Please queue and wait for the staff to allocate you a table.

Can I get a takeaway order?

Our focus is the dining experience and while we sometimes prepare takeaway orders, this is always at the kitchen's discretion only.

Can I bring my dog?

We are pet friendly in the front alfresco area. Dogs must be on a leash and remain on the ground only.

Are there gluten free options?

Yes, there are many gluten free options yet we often sell out of gluten free dumplings that are made in small quantities each week. We recommend guests phone ahead to reserve a portion for thier visit.

Can I BYO?

No, we are a licensed small bar and BYO is not allowed as per our NSW liquor license. Heavy fines apply for breaches of conduct.

Catering To Dietary Requirements?

We ask guests to inform our staff of all special dietary needs as we cook with many allergens not listed on the menu.

We cater diligently, with the utmost care and with protocols in place that prevent cross contamination, we cannot however guarantee zero exposure.

What about large groups and functions?

Accommodating large groups and parties is typically only catered to outside of busy weekend trading hours.

Is there a dress code?

Yes, footwear must be worn at all times and while guests are encouraged to dress smart casual, beachwear and sandy feet are welcome in the alsfrsco area only.

Are unsupervised minors allowed?

Yes, we hold a minors authorisation as a special condition of our NSW small bar license. This authorisation permits minors onto the premises without a responsible adult between the hours of 12:00pm to 11.00pm Monday to Saturday and 12:00pm to 10:00pm Sunday.

This is limited to times when the minor is:

1. Attending a seated lunch or dinner alone or with family or friends.

2. Entering the premises to collect a pre-ordered or purchase a takeaway food order.

3. Attending a function such as a birthday party, baby shower or wedding.

4. Attending special events such as a sports awards night or presentation.

Open Sundays & Public Holidays?

Please note the 10% surcharge on Sundays, 20% on public holidays and 1.6% on all card payments.

Can I purchase a gift card?

Yes, we sell physical and quite beautiful gift cards in store. We do not offer e-gift cards or digital gift cards.

Is there free parking?

Plenty of on street parking surrounds the Nelson Bay CBD. Central paid parking is free after 5.30pm in most areas.
